My name, if you haven’t guessed already, is Asher Wolfstein and I’m the head moderator and creator of not only this site, but of the Chraki language itself! My interest in conlanging spans far back into when I was about twelve (as described in the About Chraki page) when I first envisioned Chraki itself.
Over the next twenty-four years, I would revisit the idea of Chraki in various ways including using it as a way to precisely express philosophical ideas, as a fictional language for a story, as a type of rheomode (inspired by David Bohm), and so on.
In approximately the early fall of 2018 to the spring of 2019 I experienced a large integration of a lot of my disparate ideas. They began to form a very nice whole atom, with my beautiful endeavors zipping around me, the nucleus, like brilliant electrons. It wasn’t until the beginning of this year, 2019, that I started to take the ‘process’ thought-line even more seriously and revised Chraki as not just a process-based natural language, but also as a programming language (my primary vocational background is in programming and computer science auto-didactically). It surprised me that I had never thought of that kind of integration before, but here we are.
As I wrote earlier, even though I may be a budding linguist and an artist, my most refined skills are in computer programming. That is why, as Chraki is developed further, it may seem as if it were being built by a programmer… cause it is! Logic, formal languages, process, and meaning all fascinate me, particularly when it comes to potentially creating a human-like artificial intelligence. I’m also interested in these headier computer science concepts because I’m as well working on a tutorial/educational site titled How To Program Anything that will, hopefully, teach programming from the ground up.
For a little further info on me, I can elaborate that I enjoy reading just about everything, from technical volumes to Japanese manga, I enjoy music and the arts (I’m married to a professional opera singer), movies are pretty good too, and I most seriously enjoy finding weird obscure unique little gems wherever they may lie! If it, or you, are unique, there is a high chance I will hit that like button.
If you are even further curious about me, I actually keep a personal blog at https://wunk.me/. For a direct link to a quite voluminous passage all about me, head on over to Asher Wolfstein, Creative Genius Extraordinaire.
I hope this site will grow and showcase some wonderful things! Talk to you soon,
